Natural Libyan Glass Tektite

Discover the warm golden color, translucent glow, and naturally sculpted surface of Libyan Desert Glass. Also known as Great Sand Sea Glass, this natural impact glass formed when an intense meteorite event transformed desert sand into glass approximately 29 million years ago. Found in the Sahara Desert near the borders of Egypt and Libya, each piece is a unique reminder of Earth’s ancient geological history and a fascinating addition to any mineral collection.

In crystal traditions, Libyan Desert Glass is associated with clarity, confidence, personal transformation, protection, manifestation, and connection to solar energy. Its golden color is often linked with the Solar Plexus Chakra and is believed by some practitioners to support willpower, motivation, self-esteem, and a stronger sense of purpose. It is also commonly used in meditation and spiritual practices focused on releasing old patterns, strengthening inner resolve, and welcoming positive change.
